Check a set of warehouse temperature readings against the storage limits: mean, highest and lowest readings, how many readings were out of range, and the share that failed — with the readings saved on this device only.

Try sample values — fills the form with the worked example below.

Out-of-range readings
Equation: Mean = sum of readings ÷ number of readings. Excursions = readings below the lower limit or above the upper limit. Out-of-range (%) = excursions ÷ readings × 100.
Method: Storage-temperature verification: a set of readings (logger download or manual checks) is summarised and compared with the storage limits for the product. Readings are saved on this device only, under the key gifsq_tool_354, with a Clear button.
Assumptions: the readings are all from the same storage area and the same period; the limits are the product storage limits, not the alarm limits of the logger.
Limitations: a mean inside the limits does not prove control — a single long excursion can spoil product while the mean stays fine; this tool counts excursions but does not measure how long each one lasted.
Rounding: mean to 2 decimal places; highest and lowest to 1 decimal place; out-of-range share to 2 decimal places; intermediates unrounded.
This is a calculation aid, not a laboratory report — confirm against your accredited method before citing a value.
Worked example: Readings 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 4 °C against limits 2–8 °C: mean = 5.17 °C; highest = 9.0 °C; lowest = 3.0 °C; excursions = 1 (16.67% of readings).

Enter values above to see results.
