Record a vacuum pack: vacuum level from the absolute pressure, residual oxygen in the headspace, and the oxygen volume left in the pack.

Residual oxygen (mL)
Equation: Vacuum level (%) = (101.325 − pressure (kPa)) ÷ 101.325 × 100. Residual oxygen (%) = oxygen (%) × pressure ÷ 101.325. Residual oxygen (mL) = pack volume (mL) × residual oxygen (%) ÷ 100.
Method: Vacuum packaging record: the chamber gauge reads absolute pressure, and the residual oxygen scales with that pressure at the gas mix in use. Standard atmospheric pressure is 101.325 kPa.
Assumptions: the headspace gas is well mixed; the pressure reading is absolute, not gauge; temperature is near room temperature.
Limitations: the record is a snapshot at packing — oxygen rises again if the film lets it in, and falls as the product consumes it; it does not measure seal integrity.
Rounding: vacuum level and residual oxygen to 2 decimal places; residual volume to 2 decimal places; intermediates unrounded.
This is a calculation aid, not a laboratory report — confirm against your accredited method before citing a value.

Worked example: A pack at 5 kPa absolute with 21% oxygen gas and a 500 mL volume: vacuum level = (101.325 − 5) ÷ 101.325 × 100 = 95.07%; residual oxygen = 21 × 5 ÷ 101.325 = 1.04%, or 5.18 mL in the pack.
