Check a method revision: the share of pages changed, whether the change counts as major, and when the next scheduled review falls due.
Try sample values — fills the form with the worked example below.
–
Pages changed (%)
–
Major change
–
Review due day
–
Days to review
Equation: Pages changed (%) = pages changed ÷ total pages × 100. A change is major when 25% or more of the pages changed. Review due day = effective day + review interval. Days to review = review due day − today.
Method: Method control per ISO/IEC 17025:2017, clause 7.2 (selection, verification and validation of methods) and clause 8.2 (management system documentation): methods are controlled documents, changes are reviewed, and each method is reviewed on a set interval.
Assumptions: the 25% line is the laboratory rule used here for flagging a major change; your own procedure may set a different line.
Limitations: a small change can still be major in effect — a changed limit or a changed calculation matters even on one page, so the reviewer still reads every changed page.
Rounding: percentage to 2 decimal places; days are whole numbers; intermediates unrounded.
This is a calculation aid, not a laboratory report — confirm against your accredited method before citing a value. Records are kept only in this browser on this device (localStorage); this is a device-only record aid, not a shared multi-user LIMS, and nothing is sent to any server.

Worked example: 5 of 40 pages changed, effective day 100, review every 1,095 days, today day 500: 12.50% changed — not major — review due day 1,195, in 695 days.

A major change needs re-verification before the method is used again; a minor change needs review and approval only. Tool 278 of 500 — GIFSQ
