Generate a printable media batch record — quantities, batch code and preparation steps — and keep it saved on this device.

Try sample values — fills the form with the worked example below.

Batch record: —
Equation: Powder (g) = concentration (g/L) × volume (L); water (mL) = volume to prepare; plates = volume (mL) ÷ volume per plate (mL); batch code = medium code + '-' + batch number padded to 3 digits.
Method: Batch record content per ISO 11133:2014 (preparation and performance testing of culture media) and ISO 7218:2007 record-keeping practice: medium, batch, quantities, pH and sterilisation details.
Assumptions: The powder is fully dissolved in the stated volume of purified water and the label concentration is for the finished medium.
Limitations: Sterilisation conditions, pH adjustment and performance-test results are recorded by hand on the printed record — this generator does not set them.
Rounding: Powder to 2 decimal places; plates to 1 decimal place; intermediates unrounded.
This is a calculation aid, not a laboratory report — confirm against your accredited method before citing a value.
Worked example: TSA batch 12 at 28 g/L, 1,000 mL, 20 mL per plate: powder 28.00 g, water 1,000 mL, 50.0 plates, batch code TSA-012.
