Check a report batch before it goes out: completeness through entry, review and approval, turnaround in days, and whether it met the 10-day target.

Try sample values — fills the form with the worked example below.

–
Completeness (%)
–
Turnaround (days)
–
Results still pending
–
On time (10-day target)
Equation: Completeness (%) = approved ÷ ordered × 100. Turnaround (days) = report day − receipt day. Pending = ordered − entered. The batch is on time when the turnaround is 10 days or less.
Method: Report completeness and turnaround per ISO/IEC 17025:2017, clause 7.8 (reporting of results): a report goes out only when every ordered result is entered, reviewed and approved, and the laboratory tracks how long that took.
Assumptions: the day numbers are days of the same year; the 10-day target is the laboratory turnaround target used here.
Limitations: completeness counts approvals only — a result can be entered and reviewed and still not be reportable if the reviewer held it back.
Rounding: completeness to 2 decimal places; turnaround and pending are whole days; intermediates unrounded.
This is a calculation aid, not a laboratory report — confirm against your accredited method before citing a value. Records are kept only in this browser on this device (localStorage); this is a device-only record aid, not a shared multi-user LIMS, and nothing is sent to any server.
Worked example: 24 tests ordered, all entered, reviewed and approved, received day 100 and reported day 107: completeness 100.00%, turnaround 7 days, nothing pending — on time.

Enter values above to see results.

A batch below 100% completeness must not be reported as complete; list the missing results on the report or hold it. Tool 269 of 500 — GIFSQ
