Lot quality summary for fresh produce. Enter the lots inspected, passed and rejected, with the mean Brix if measured, to get the pass rate and the lot verdict. Save each summary on this device.

Try sample values — fills the form with the worked example below.

–
Pass rate (%)
–
Reject rate (%)
–
Lots accepted
Equation: Pass rate % = lots passed ÷ lots inspected × 100. Reject rate % = 100 − pass rate %. Lots passed + lots rejected must equal lots inspected.
Method: Lot acceptance summary for fresh produce; constituent checks by AOAC 932.12 (Brix), AOAC 942.15 (acidity) and penetrometer firmness (Tool 163).
Assumptions: Every inspected lot was either passed or rejected; the mean Brix, where given, covers the passed lots only.
Limitations: A dashboard hides lot-level detail — a good pass rate can still mask a bad lot, so keep the lot records behind it.
Rounding: Rates to 2 decimal places; counts are whole numbers. Intermediate values are not rounded.
This is a calculation aid, not a laboratory report — confirm against your accredited method before citing a value.
Worked example: 50 lots inspected, 44 passed, 6 rejected. Pass rate = 44 ÷ 50 × 100 = 88.00 %; reject rate = 12.00 %.

Pass rate is only as good as the inspection behind it. Record the inspection criteria with each lot so the dashboard stays comparable over time. Tool 180 of 500 — GIFSQ
