Check a calibration: the days left until it is due, the drift of the latest check against the reference, and whether the drift is inside tolerance.
Try sample values — fills the form with the worked example below.

Drift inside tolerance
Equation: Days to calibration = last calibration day + interval − today. Drift (%) = (reading − reference) ÷ reference × 100. The calibration is due when the days left are 0 or fewer; the drift is inside tolerance when |drift| is at or under the tolerance.
Method: Calibration scheduling per ISO/IEC 17025:2017, clause 6.4 (equipment) and clause 6.5 (metrological traceability): equipment is calibrated before use on a set interval, and a check standard reading outside tolerance takes the item out of service.
Assumptions: the interval is the laboratory interval for this item; the tolerance is the maximum drift the method allows.
Limitations: a check inside tolerance does not extend the calibration due date — the interval still runs from the last full calibration.
Rounding: drift and tolerance to 2 decimal places; days to calibration is a whole number; intermediates unrounded.
This is a calculation aid, not a laboratory report — confirm against your accredited method before citing a value. Records are kept only in this browser on this device (localStorage); this is a device-only record aid, not a shared multi-user LIMS, and nothing is sent to any server.

Worked example: Calibrated day 100 on a 90-day interval, today day 150, check reading 100.4 against a 100 reference with ±1% tolerance: 40 days left, drift 0.40% — inside tolerance and not due.

When a check fails tolerance, quarantine the equipment and review every result it produced since its last passing check. Tool 273 of 500 — GIFSQ
