Trichothecene mycotoxins produced by Stachybotrys atra. Cause mycotoxicosis (stachybotryotoxicosis) in humans, horses, cattle and poultry. Responsible for irritation and ulceration of the mucous membranes of the mouth, throat and nose, widespread haemorrhages, leucopaenia and possible death.
