Psocids
Tiny, soft-bodied booklice whose Liposcelis members plague grain warehouses in warm, humid climates, chewing kernels and degrading quality and market value. They spread beyond grain too, infesting dry residues in mills, food factories, shops, and home pantries, feeding on molds, starches, and crumbs across a wide range of commodities. Heavy infestations signal moisture and hygiene problems rather than just insect presence. Control combines drying, cleaning, stock rotation, and, where needed, targeted treatments, since these pests thrive wherever damp debris accumulates.
