Instant tea
Dried tea extracts — generally freeze-dried — processed into a form that dissolves rapidly in hot or cold water. It offers tea flavour without brewing, for drinks, mixes, and food flavouring. Protecting its delicate aroma compounds during drying and keeping the powder dry in storage are the main quality challenges. Spray-dried versions serve cost-sensitive applications, while freeze-dried extracts target premium instant teas where aroma fidelity matters most to the consumer. Iced-tea mixes are its largest application, dissolving cleanly in cold water.
