Instant soups
Dried soup mixes designed to rehydrate rapidly when water is added — often freeze-dried to preserve flavour and texture. They are typically sold as convenience snack foods or beverages in single-serving sachets. Their long shelf life comes from very low moisture, so intact, moisture-proof packaging is essential; any dampness leads to caking, off-flavours, and potential microbial growth. Formulation balances rapid rehydration against the authentic texture and flavour of a freshly made soup. Clear-broth and cream-style variants use different thickener systems for their textures.
