Humanized milk
Milk reformulated to resemble human milk as closely as possible, so that it suits infant feeding. Adjustment targets the lower protein content, different fatty-acid balance, higher lactose and oligosaccharide levels, and the vitamin and enzyme profile that distinguish human milk from cow milk. The concept underlies current infant formula design, though breastfeeding remains the recommended standard. The term reflects an earlier era of formula development; current products are more precisely called infant formulas, formulated against detailed compositional standards rather than simple adjustment of cow milk.
