Entoleters
Machines used to disinfest cereals and other foods without chemicals. Grain enters the centre of a rapidly spinning studded disc; the impact of kernels flung on the studs kills insects and ruins their eggs. A physical pest-control method for stored products. Operating at several thousand rpm, the machines subject grain to centrifugal forces that fling kernels against the studded impact ring with lethal force to weevils, beetles and moths at all life stages. Because no chemical residues remain, entoleters suit organic grain handling and flour mills, though they cannot reach insects already inside the kernel.
