Blending
Blending mixes two or more ingredients — by spoon, beater or electric blender — into a harmonious combination. The term also covers combining flavours to obtain a particular character and quality — in wines, teas and blended whisky, for instance, where master blenders achieve consistency across batches despite variable raw materials. In food manufacturing, blending demands validated mixing times, homogeneous distribution of minor ingredients such as vitamins and preservatives, and equipment designed to avoid dead spots. Whether in a kitchen or a tea factory, skilful blending turns variable inputs into a reliable, recognisable product.
