Citrus fruits produced by Citrus limettioides or C. lumia. Peel is greenish to orange-yellow when the fruits are ripe. The juicy pulp is pale yellow in colour, with a non-acid, faintly bitter flavour. Eaten out of hand, cooked or preserved. Peel is a source of essential oils with a strong aroma of lemons. Sometimes confused with the sweet lemon (C. limetta).
