Sachets

Sachets are small packs or bags made of flexible material, for packing small quantities of substances such as single servings of foods. Common uses include liquid foods such as sauces, ketchups, and other condiments, and dry products such as instant soups, dried infant foods, and coffee granules. They offer portion control, hygiene, and convenience for catering and retail. Their small size raises material-use questions, so manufacturers balance convenience against packaging waste and recyclability. Sachets are heat-sealed on high-speed form-fill-seal lines, and the seal integrity is checked to prevent leaks and contamination. Their small size and light weight reduce transport costs and waste per serving, though the total packaging material per unit of product is higher than for bulk packs.
