Robotics
Robotics is the branch of technology concerned with the design, construction, and application of robots used for the mechanical operation of procedures. In food processing, robots handle palletizing, packaging, pick-and-place sorting, and even delicate operations such as cutting meat or decorating confectionery. They improve hygiene by reducing human contact with food, boost speed and consistency, and take over repetitive or hazardous tasks. Successful food robotics must cope with the natural variability of biological materials, which is more demanding than handling uniform industrial parts.
