Polyethylene films
Transparent polyethylene packaging films, widely used for food because of low cost, cold resistance, and tough, moisture-proof, heat-sealable nature. They suit chilled and frozen products, fresh produce, and bakery goods, and they laminate easily to other materials when an oxygen barrier is needed for longer shelf life. Because the film touches food directly, compliance testing confirms that it releases no harmful substances above legal migration limits. Seal integrity, gauge uniformity, and clarity are monitored on the line, since a weak seal or thin spot can compromise the protection the film is meant to provide.
