Ice cream wafers
Thin, faintly sweet wafers with a waffle texture, usually triangular or rectangular — served beside ice cream or sandwiching it. They add crunch and a mild sweetness that complements the frozen filling. Like cones, they must be stored dry to stay crisp, since they readily pick up moisture from the air or from contact with the frozen dessert. Packaging with good moisture barriers keeps them crunchy from factory to consumer. Their neutral flavour makes them a versatile partner for strongly flavoured ice creams and sorbets alike.
