Control systems
Control systems are the arrangements of sensors, controllers, and actuators that monitor and regulate processes automatically. In food plants they hold temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and compositions at their set points, from pasteurizer controls to oven profiling and refrigeration management. Well-designed control systems deliver the consistency that manual operation cannot, logging data for traceability and alarming when deviations threaten safety or quality. Their validation is part of process validation: a process is only as reliable as the controls that govern it.
