Camel milk

Camel milk is milk obtained from camels, and it is similar in composition to cow milk, with approximately 4.2 percent fat, 3.5 percent protein, 4.5 percent lactose and 0.8 percent ash. A staple food in arid regions where camels are the most reliable dairy animal, it is drunk fresh and fermented into traditional products such as sour milk and soft cheeses. Camel milk is also studied for its distinctive proteins, lower allergenicity for some consumers and potential nutritional benefits, though it remains a niche product outside its traditional regions.
