Clementines
Clementines are small, sweet citrus fruits regarded as a tangerine cultivar or a tangerine–sweet orange hybrid, and they have become the archetypal easy-peeler. Their loose skins, sparse seeds, and honeyed segments made them a lunchbox favourite, and like all citrus they are rich in vitamin C. Growers select for deep colour, sweetness, and peelability, while packers grade for size and blemish-free skin. Cold storage extends their season, though chilling-sensitive fruit must be held above injury thresholds to protect flavour and texture.
