Cardboard
Cardboard is a thick paper-based material used for food packaging, from shipping boxes and displays to folding cartons. Food-grade cardboard must meet hygiene standards and avoid contaminating contents with inks, adhesives or unwanted substances migrating from recycled fibres, so direct food-contact grades are carefully specified. It protects products during transport and storage while providing printable surfaces for branding, labelling and regulatory information. Lightweight, recyclable and versatile, it remains the backbone of food distribution packaging. Corrugated grades add cushioning strength, while solid board gives the crisp finish of premium cartons.
