Broad-spectrum aminocyclitol antibiotic produced by Streptomyces spectabilis. Used in the treatment of a variety of enteric, respiratory and other infections in farm animals. Exhibits low toxicity and is normally excreted rapidly from animal tissues. Also known as actinospectacin.
